Ha!Bette Davis caught in a candid moment. This was the monthly ritual she followed to maintain her beauty: She would have a young virgin girl released on the road leading out of her estate—which was precisely 666 yards long—and then begin the hunt. If the girl made it to the gates of the estate, she would be given a large amount of money and a part in one of Davis’ films. If Davis hit the girl with one of her arrows, on the other hand, she would put a single drop of the virgin’s blood onto her tongue and be rejuvenated until the next new moon. Although very few reached the gate, she never lacked for volunteers trying to take the quick road to stardom.
